We are facing a crisis in Calais. In 2020 it was made illegal to give food and water to hungry people in Calais and, over time, the area covered by the food ban has grown. The situation is now becoming critical. We often meet people who are hungry, and they come to us asking for food. It’s heart-wrenching.

We have increased distributions, and are now giving out more than 450 food parcels every week across Calais and Dunkirk.

Each food parcel costs £10 and will support a family for three days.  Parcels contain essentials including rice, beans, fish, tea, sugar, cooking oil, and milk. But to keep this up we need to raise £18,000 per month on an ongoing basis.

Without this money, hundreds of refugees will go hungry in Calais.
