Amerit Rait says #StopRwanda

Amerit Rait says #StopRwanda

This morning we’re delighted to see Amerit Rait , a vice president of UNISON, giving his support to our #StopRwanda campaign.

Amerit is an efficiency manager at St Mary’s Hospital in London. He’s been an active UNISON member since 2015, and works incredibly hard to help working people get the help and fairness they deserve. He knows the importance of working together and what it can achieve from his UNISON experience, and it’s fantastic to see him bringing that knowledge to this campaign.

We’re particularly pleased to see him getting behind us following the UNISON president Andrea Egan’s support yesterday. Earlier this week we had our second Dr Who joining the campaign; today we have our second member of the UNISON presidential team!

We’re fighting hard against the Government’s brutal plan to deport refugees to Rwanda, and we need to show that most people don’t want it.

The easiest way to help is to download or make a #StopRwanda sign, take a picture of yourself or someone else with it. Then post it in your social media channels, tag us @care4calais and email the picture to us at [email protected]

Please also join us at a demonstration. On 5th September we will be be in the High Court to challenge the Government’s Rwanda policy. There will be a demonstration outside the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2A 2LL between 9am and 5pm, with a rally at 2pm. This is a vital chance to show the scale of public opposition; please attend if you can.
