APPEAL: Donate4Dates for Ramadan 2021
This year thousands of refugees in northern France and asylum seekers around the UK will be spending Ramadan in fear and uncertainty over their future and their asylum claims. They might be in substandard accommodation or sleeping rough on the streets, with no money to buy the food they would normally eat at this special time of year.
Religion can be a great comfort in times of need. It can give people strength to bear the hardships they’ve experienced and continue to face. From 13 April, during the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims will break their fast with dates each day. We want to provide dates for all those we are working with who follow Islam, to bring some normalcy and remind them that there are people who care, who are thinking of them in this difficult time.
If you can help with providing bulk quantities of dates or donations to help us buy them, please get in touch or donate via the link below.
