Barclays Staff Stretch Themselves To Raise Funds

We are so impressed Daisy and her colleagues at Barclays UK! They ran a series of fabulously successful yoga classes to raise over £800 for refugees. And then due to matched funding another £800 was donated as well!
“A colleague organised the series of Yoga classes and I wholeheartedly took the opportunity to volunteer the skill I have as a Yoga Instructor. 3 other kind-hearted colleagues volunteered as well.
Running the classes was great fun, but also an opportunity for me to share with people the challenges that people are facing on their perilous journey to safety and the horrendous life they are forced to live once they get to places like Calais. I wanted them to know more about the refugee crisis, the reality of it rather than the rhetoric of the press. It is much about raising awareness as it is funds to support the worthy cause of Care4Calais and I will continue to do as much as I can”
There are so many ways that you can help refugees, and it may be easier than you think. It can be as simple as just setting up a monthly donation yourself, or as exciting as running an event of your own, but either way you can make a huge difference to people living in awful conditions this winter.
You can get involved by holding your own fundraising activity. Find out how at care4calais.org/get-involved
