Big thank you to Woodbridge High School!

Big thank you to Woodbridge High School!

We were just blown away to find out about the amazing efforts of Woodbridge High School, Woodford Green. They have organised a week full of activities for both students and teachers to raise money to support refugees.

They are hosting student vs. staff netball and football matches, bake sales, non-uniform day, a christmas fayre as well as a showing of the documentary ‘Calais Children: A case to answer.’ They are also selling Paddington badges of which nearly 500 have already been sold.

In addition to all this the teachers are spending a weekend volunteering in Calais and seeing what life is really like for refugees living in the north of France.

Thank you so much Woodbridge High School! We are excited to hear how the staff vs. student matches go! Please do send us pictures from all your events.

This is a fabulous example of ordinary people doing great things to support refugees. If your school or workplace fancies getting involved too, why not check out the many easy ways you can do this at https://care4calais.org/get-involved/.
