Meet the UK cyclists riding to Calais in June

If you feel overwhelmed by some of the terrible things going on in the world right now, let this cheer you up! These are the UK cyclists who will be riding from Hull to Calais in June to raise money and awareness.

In June, seven intrepid UK cyclists will be riding all the way from Hull to Calais to raise money for refugees. Along the route, there will be opportunities to meet and encourage them, or even cycle with them during part of the way.

The ‘Grand Depart’ will be at the Avenues Centre on Park Ave, Hull, on 27 June. You can wave them on at various points during the six-day journey, or meet them in Calais for ‘Le Finis’.

Daily routes will be shown on the official Facebook event page. Some of the stages include Lincoln, Cambridge, London, and Dover. You can cycle with the team for a day, or even just an hour (average speeds 12mph).

All encouragement is most welcome. Please click here to contact Hull Help for Refugees for more details.
