Coronavirus: Volunteers unite to help with donations

The Coronavirus pandemic means charities like ours are in urgent need of extra help. Thankfully for us, our amazing volunteers have gone above and beyond in recent days to help.
Team numbers are down due to travel disruption and self-isolation. However, our volunteers have worked extra hard these past four days to achieve the following:
- Distribution of 500 food packs, 600 blankets, 300 snug packs, and 200 pairs of joggers to keep people as warm and healthy as possible
- Handing out 750 vitamin packs and 670 soap and liquid soap packs
- Taking out makeshift hand-washing stations to all locations we visit
- Distribution of hundreds of information leaflets on Coronavirus in Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish, English, and French at all locations visited.
We could not be more proud of how quickly they have reacted under stressful circumstances to care for those at risk.
That said, more must be done to make sure every refugee is safe. We are in urgent need of further donations and volunteers in this critical time. Essentials such as hand gel, warm clothing, sleeping bags, tents and soap are particularly important.
If you aren’t able to help on site, we have several donation drop-off points all across the UK and in Europe. Click here to find the drop-off point near you.
