Dubs Amendment Update
We welcome the government’s plan to bring in 3,000 refugee children from Africa and the Middle East however, it is essential to be clear that this will do nothing to help the 95,000 child refugees already in Europe and at risk.
The Dubs amendment, which being voted on next Monday, is still absolutely essential to protect these children who are going missing in Europe because children’s homes in Italy and Greece are full, and other countries can’t cope with this crisis alone.
This announcement appears to be a tactic employed to distract from the urgent need for this amendment to be passed. Read more on the Independent website.
