France prepares to deport more migrants
The French authorities are creating 5,531 additional accommodation places throughout France. However, rather than being additional CAOs, the French newspaper Le Monde reports that these new centres, known as ‘Prahda’, are intended for the “preparation of the transfer of persons under Dublin procedure” and the “follow-up of persons under house arrest”.
The technical document mentions that with the Prahda, “persons placed under Dublin procedure may be kept in the place of accommodation the time necessary for the effective implementation of their transfer to the State responsible for the examination of their application for asylum.”
