Congratulations to Super Simon!

Congratulations to Super Simon!

Congratulations to our super skydiving volunteer Simon, who has just raised £1600 for refugees in Liverpool with a sponsored parachute jump!

Before the jump he joked that he could do it only “because I’ve finally lost it”, but he loved the experience in the end, he said. “Amazing. Honestly, it was the best thing I’ve ever done.

More importantly, he added, “The reason I decided to do it was the #StopRwanda campaign. Anything to increase awareness of how we need to stop the Government going ahead with the Rwanda flights. Anything that does that is worth it.”

He even did the jump wearing a Stop Rwanda T-shirt – certainly that’s the highest one has been.

The funds will pay for vital resources for refugees. “We always need more resources, so thank you to all the people who sponsored me. Your support is really important, because in the current climate, with more hostility being shown to refugees, your support is more important than ever.”
