LISTEN: Former refugee returns to Calais with BBC

Click here to listen now to the BBC Radio 4 programme on Hossein Ahmadi, with commentary from our founder Clare Moseley.

Iranian Hossein Ahmadi came to the UK in the back of a refrigerated lorry. Now that he has leave to remain, he used his British travel document to return to the Calais Jungle, where he lived for nearly a year while he tried again and again to find a way of entering the UK.

Hossein finds out what has changed and what has stayed the same in the Calais Jungle. The programme includes interviews with our founder Clare Moseley and Beth Gardiner-Smith of Safe Passage International, as well as with many refugees from the Middle East and Africa.
