London volunteers collaborate with World Memon Organisation for food box distribution

When we distribute food in France, Belgium and the U.K., it’s important that we are giving people food that they can prepare easily, that suits their tastes and will keep for a longer time. Thankfully, we’ve had a lot of support from our supporters and other charitable organisations who have helped us out!
In the last couple of weeks, the World Memon Organisation have donated 200 large food boxes to us for distribution, containing long lasting foods, such as tinned beans, rice, milk, cereals and biscuits. Our Care4Calais volunteers around London have been giving out the boxes to residents who desperately need more food support. The World Memon Organisation are a non-profit organisation supporting vulnerable communities all around the worl; promoting unity, and improving welfare and wellbeing.
M, who recently received his box, has just moved into a North London shared accommodation, and said, “We are so grateful for your help. We appreciate the boxes at this time when there is not much support. Thank you for sharing with us”.
These boxes have not only helped residents in accommodations who do not have enough food – it gives them hope and the belief that someone does care about them.
We send our gratitude to all those who donate to support our work – and to The World Memon Food Organisation for your help and your work reaching the most vulnerable people. We hope to work with them more in the future!
