Living in the streets of Paris

During our trip to France to volunteer with Care4Calais we took some aid over to Paris. We met a young man who had no shoes and was wearing flip flops and no coat. He is currently sleeping outside on the streets. He was pleased to be given a pair of trainers, some socks, a jacket and some credit for his phone, all donated by Care4Calais. He is from Ethiopia and and is one of the under 18s who lived in the Calais camp last year.
When the camp was closed he was given a wristband by the french authorities and sent to a center where he was promised help to come to the U.K. He was full of hope. Then the scheme was abandoned and the center closed and he had to leave. Now he lives on the street in Paris and is worried for his safety.
