New face mask workshops for Calais refugees

Using guidance provided by US Surgeon General Dr Jerome Adams, we’ve begun al fresco workshops with the refugees. Our team is showing them how to make cloth face coverings from ordinary items like sheets and elastic bands.
As The Guardian wrote recently, medical science suggests that people without symptoms can infect others just by speaking – but a simple cloth covering can stop the spread of harmful droplets.
Predictably, we’ve had a mixed response. Some people are not interested, but it’s a great relief to have something sensible and credible to offer to people who do care. As an added bonus, our elephant-print pattern was extremely popular today!
