Nikesh says #StopRwabda

Nikesh says #StopRwabda

We’re delighted this morning to see that the wonderful actor Nikesh Patel has added his voice to the growing tide of support for our #StopRwanda campaign.

Nikesh, who will be familiar to many of you as Tom in the BBC One sitcom Starstruck, has appealed to his fans saying “this hostile government wants to deport innocent refugees to Rwanda by force. This will abuse refugees’ rights, cost taxpayers millions, and break international law. Please… send a loud and clear message that you do not support this cruel, inhumane scheme.”

Nikesh has a string of high-profile roles to his name, including Aafrin Dalal in Channel 4’s Indian Summers, Kash Khan in the 2019 TV adaptation of Four Weddings And A Funeral, and Foaly in the Artemis Fowl movie. His strong, clear statement will be heard by thousands of people, and it sends a direct message to the Government that people see how immoral and barbaric the scheme is.

Please heed his call and join with us in sending that message as loudly as possible. Next Monday we’ll be in court to challenge the plan, and before then we need to make as much noise as possible.
