Operation Winter Alps

You have to be impressed by the dedication of Paul De Ville Forte. When we told him about the three CAOs in the French alps that are desperate for winter clothes he offered to come over, not just to France, but then to drive down a further 700 miles and back to take supplies to them.
The three CAOs are in Annecy, Grenoble and Chambery. Their standards vary. But one significant problem that all have in common is that they don’t supply winter clothes. And the refugees come from hot countries in just the clothes they are wearing. As anyone who has been to the alps in winter knows, you don’t go outside without proper gear.
Paul came to our warehouse and took winter coats, walking boots, jumpers and jogging bottoms and kits made up with thermals, underwear, hats and scarves. Most unfortunately we have run out of gloves. But nonetheless a great improvement.
Well done Paul, and thank you to all the many doners that make this possible!
