People in Motion donate jam-packed van of winter essentials

This week, we received a fabulous donation from People in Motion: a transit packed to the roof with valuable items, all carefully sorted and labelled. From men’s socks to family-sized tents, everything will be distributed and used as soon as possible. The need for warm winter clothing, shelters, and food is undeniable.
The impact of the donation was felt within six hours. The first of these were in the hands of Kurdish refugee families in Dunkirk that afternoon. Children, women and men ran to the back of the van, the prospect of changing out of their muddy clothes and shoes giving them hope in an instant.
We never cease to be amazed at how much such a van can fit, and the thought of all the people that this can help is incredible. Each sleeping bag and each hoodie unloaded can make a person living in inhumane conditions feel human again for a while.
We hope you can appreciate the impact that these donations have and continue to send such vans. We will always welcome them with excitement.
