Ricky Tomlinson says #StopRwanda

Ricky Tomlinson says #StopRwanda

Today we are absolutely delighted to see our friend Ricky Tomlinson supporting our #StopRwanda campaign.

You might know Ricky as Jim Royle in The Royle Family or from Brookside or Cracker, but Ricky has been a long term political activist and has often stood up for those who can’t defend themselves. He has also given much of his own money to charitable causes.

So it’s not surprising that he does not support the brutal deportation of people who have escaped from the worst horrors in this world. Or this Governments cruel plan to victimise refugees.

In fact when we asked for comment he said “Rwanda – my arse!”

We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.

Please stand with us and Ricky now to show that this plan is not what British people want.

Here’s what you can do to help:

  1. Buy a #StopRwanda t shirt, take a photo, post it on socials, wear it out and about, talk about it and tag us @care4calais => https://bit.ly/RWDtee
  2. Download or make a #StopRwanda card and take picture of yourself and/or your friends holding it. Post the pic on your social channels and tag us @care4calais => bit.ly/RWDbanner
  3. Download the icon and save it as your profile picture on social media => bit.ly/RWDicon
