Sign: Tell Home Office to cancel refugee deportation flights
After dedicating months of their lives to escaping war and persecution and finally reaching safety in the UK, dozens of asylum-seekers are now at sudden risk of being deported.
During a global pandemic, the Home Office is trying to rush through deportations of vulnerable people who have escaped violent conflict and have come to ask the UK for help. All of them recently arrived on small boats in dangerous journeys via the Channel. Many are torture victims or suffer from severe trauma and PTSD. They are too scared to eat, too scared to sleep. Some have been on a hunger strike for 15 days and counting. They are terrified of being sent back to situations of homelessness and destitution.
They need your help. Please click here to sign the petition by SOAS Detainee Support and join thousands of others in the UK calling for the immediate cancellation of these charter flights.
