The Sea Pickles made it !

The Sea Pickles made it !

Last week we told you about the Sea Pickles – six girls aged 16-17 who decided the swim the English Channel to raise money for refugees.

On Sunday they made it – an incredible achievement, which involved leaving Dover in the early morning, and swimming all day in relay, an hour each at a time.

Before they set off they took pictures with a #StopRwanda sign, sending home a message to the government that people don’t want this callous plan carried out in their name.

We can’t think of a more effective or impressive way to show solidarity with refugees – many of whom are unable to swim when they cross the Channel tio seek safety it the UK.

At the time of writing the girls had raised £9287 of their £10,000 total, and we’re sure that when people read about this incredible feat they’ll help them reach their goal.
