Things don’t have to be so dire and miserable

Things don’t have to be so dire and miserable, when your kicking a ball and getting to know one and another through a game of football. Who thought a game of football could be so healing. No one chooses to be in a refugee camp, there’s nothing to do all day, and a simple game of football changed all that today. In that moment, a game of football transcended the feeling that you were a refugee.

There are over 4000 refugees now crammed into the northern zone and looking after them has never been more important. The last few weeks have been unbelievably trying, and after all they have been through your help has never been more needed.

We are low on the following items. If anyone can help please email

Trainers (especially size 42/43)
Jogging bottoms
Socks and underwear
Money for gas – our biggest expense and so, so needed
Gloves and long johns
