Write to your MP to demand action on Moria

So far 10 European countries have agreed to help the 400 unaccompanied children who have been made homeless by the devastating fire that destroyed Europe’s largest refugee camp in Moria. The UK is not one of them.
Germany and France will each accept between 100 and 150 children. The Netherlands will welcome in 50 and Finland will bring in 11. Other countries expected to help include Switzerland, Belgium, Croatia, Slovenia, Luxembourg and Portugal.
Almost 13,000 people – including 4,000 children – have lost everything in the fire which gutted the island of Lesbos on Tuesday. Families have been sleeping on roads and fields, hungry and thirsty with nowhere to go.
Lord Dubs has written to Priti Patel imploring that the UK Government step forward immediately to give some of the refugee children the chance to rebuild their lives. But so far nothing has been done.
It cannot be right that the only way a child can seek sanctuary in the UK is by taking the desperate and sometimes deadly decision to cross the Channel. Please click here to write to your local MP demanding action now via this excellent page by the MSF.
