URGENT: Volunteers Needed for Scampton

Any week now, the Government will start sending people seeking asylum in the UK to the former RAF barracks in Scamption – and Care4Calais urgently needs to recruit local volunteers to offer support when they arrive.

Segregated from the community and fenced off by barbed wire – these barracks are totally unsuitable accommodation and, as a former military base, are likely to retraumatise refugees who have already survived war, torture and persecution.

When they arrive, the people sent to Scampton will desperately need clothing and support. Will you volunteer to help them?
